General Questions

Do you have a physical store location?

We sure do! We hang our hat in our Downtown San Luis Obispo storefront, where we house thousands of pairs of socks to sell to locals. The Sock Drawer opened here in the Happiest City in the United States in 2007, and we have loved every moment of having it since. Come visit us anytime at 852 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, California, to see check out all of your favorite socks in person.

Which size sock should I order?

Luckily for you, we here at The Sock Drawer are sock sizing connoisseurs. Make sure you get the perfect fit for your feet by checking out our new sock sizing guide. Sigh, if only everything was this simple.

Where are your socks made?

We have loads of manufacturers in different area codes. The Sock Drawer partners with businesses across the world, including right here in the good ole’ U S of A. check out our Made in the U.S.A. collections for men and women for great socks made in our own backyard.

Do you offer socks in larger sizes?

Here at The Sock Drawer, we like to carry something for everyone. So if you are seeking a larger sized sock, make sure to check out the pairs we carry made for men in XL and women in Wide Calf.

Can I use your product or lifestyle photos?

While we love that you have fallen for our images as much as we have, we can’t say we are surprised. If you would like to feature one of our incredible pictures on your blog, social media accounts, etc., we ask that you give credit where credit is due. This means acknowledging the source, and providing a link to the original image.

Clearly our photographers are very talented, meaning we would like their pieces to remain in their original form. If you would like to include our photos in media related publications, please email us for more information.


Ordering

What type of payment methods do you accept?

We accept Paypal, Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. Unfortunately, we had to stop accepting bartering as a form of payment when the dollar came out.

Can I order custom socks?

Unfortunately there isn’t enough coffee or chocolate in the world that could bribe us into taking custom sock orders at this time. Come back with a hefty amount of wine and some fine cheese - then maybe we could talk.

Do you offer socks at wholesale?

Wholesale socks are not currently offered through The Sock Drawer. If we eventually decide to take the plunge, you will be the first to know.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

The Sock Drawer loves to work with teams and groups that seek a lot of awesome socks... we just ask that you email us first, so we can learn more about your situation.

How can I check my order status?

After placing your order with The Sock Drawer (yay!) you will immediately get an email with an order confirmation number (wahoo!) If you are impatient like we are, (amen sister!) feel free to use this number to check the status of your order at any time. Also, keep your eyes peeled for a shipping confirmation email.

How do I cancel my order?

If you simply must cancel, although we can’t imagine why, we recommend calling our office at (805 )786-4375 or emailing us as soon as possible. If your socks have already shipped, just send them right back to us so another sock lover can enjoy them. If your order was over $45, free shipping and returns are on us. If your order was under $45 dollars, you will be reimbursed for the socks only.

I haven’t seen any confirmation emails in my inbox.  Can you help me figure out why I am not receiving emails?

Do not panic. We repeat, do not panic. First, check your spam folder. For some reason our amazing emails sometimes end up in the dump, but fear not. If you find the information you need there… problem solved.

If our awesome confirmation emails aren’t in your spam folder, we recommend visiting your customer account or looking up your order. If you are unable to do so, an error may have occurred when inputting your email address. Email us to get that cleared right up.

Shipping - Domestic

How do you ship orders?

You tell us!  You have the choices between USPS First Class & Priority mail or FedEx 2-Day or Standard Overnight.  We offer FREE SHIPPING via USPS First Class on all US orders over $45.  We ship out orders Monday - Friday within 48 hours of receiving your order.  All expedited orders cut to the front of the line.

How long will it take my order to ship?

  • USPS First Class: 3 - 5 business days
  • USPS Priority: 2 - 3 business days
  • FedEx 2-Day: 2 business days
  • FedEx Overnight: 1 business day

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Yes, yes, a million times yes! Here are our options:

  • USPS Priority: $8.95
  • FedEx 2-Day: price determined at checkout / based on order size + your location
  • FedEx Overnight: price determined at checkout / based on order size + your location

    *Note: Priority and FedEx Express are time sensitive options and orders placed after 12:00 PM PST will add an additional business day for delivery. We know you need your socks now, please bear with us… they will be on their way! 

    When entering the shipping address, please ensure you double check all address fields for accuracy.  Sockdrawer.com is not responsible for any additional costs associated with re-shipping an order.  If your package is returned to us due to an address error, we will reach out with the option to pay for the additional fees to reship the order or for us to cancel the order (this refund is for socks only and will not include any original shipping costs).


    Shipping - International

    How do you ship orders?

    You can choose between USPS International and FedEx International to ship your socks around the globe. Orders are shipped on Monday - Friday.

    How long will it take my order to ship?

    • USPS International First Class: 2-6 weeks
    • USPS International Priority: 2-3 weeks
    • FedEx International Economy: 5-7 business days
    • FedEx International Priority: 3-5 business day

    Important: Please be aware when shipping via USPS International, shipping times & customs processing can vary greatly. We are not responsible for any additional charges, taxes, or time incurred by customs.  Additional information regarding specific customs can be found by contacting your local postal service. We do our best to make sure our customers across the world get their amazing socks as soon as possible - be sure to check out our FedEx Economy and Priority shipping options if you are particularly eager.

    How much does international shipping cost?

    • USPS International First Class: $14.95
    • USPS International Priority:  $39.95
    • FedEx International Economy: price determined at checkout / based on order size + location
    • FedEx International Priority: price determined at checkout / based on order size +  location

    Important: You may need to pay additional customs and taxes, which do vary by country.  The Sock Drawer is not responsible for any additional charges incurred by customs.  More information about specific custom rates can be found by contacting your local postal service.

    What are customs?

    Think of customs and VAT (Value Added Tax) as your country’s way of taxing you for buying goods abroad. Each country calculates these fees and processes these orders differently. We recommend calling your local post office to inquire about added customs fees and additional time added to your delivery date.

    Returns

    What is your return policy?

    We want to see you jumping with joy over your new Sock Drawer socks! So if you are unhappy with your order for whatever reason, please let us know what we can do to make it better. Socks can be returned within 30 days of when your order shipped, as long as they are in their original packing and condition. Returns are processed within 5 - 7 business days of package receipt.

    “Original condition” means:

    • Socks may not be tried on
 or washed
    • Socks may not be worn
    • The packaging cannot be altered


    Note: due to their intimate nature, all tights and leggings are non refundable.

    Do you offer free return shipping?

    We offer free return shipping for orders over $45. If your original order was over $45 and you are interested in making a return, please send us an email for a shipping label.


    Exchanges

    What is your exchange policy?

    We understand how difficult it can be to choose from our colossal collection of cool socks. If you change your mind after your order has shipped, we totally understand. We are happy to exchange your order within 30 days of the date your order shipped from The Sock Drawer, as long as the socks are still in their original condition. As soon as your order arrives, please mail the socks back to us in their original condition.

    Once again, “original condition” means:

    • Socks may not be tried on
 or washed
    • Socks may not be worn
    • The packaging cannot be altered


    Note: due to their intimate nature, all tights and leggings are non refundable.

    Do I receive free shipping (return of original and new sock) on my exchange and new socks if my original order was over $45?

    Hmmm… you have put us in a tricky situation. We are overjoyed to pay the shipping one way on either the return of your socks or pay the shipping when the new sock is shipped out. Like always, contact us if you have more questions.


    Gifts

    Do you offer gift cards?

    You’re in luck! We know just as well as you do that socks make an excellent gift, so make someone you love happy with a gift card purchase you can make here.

    Can I include a gift message?
    (Be aware NOT AVAILABLE months of November -December)

    Yes, of course you can. We understand that sending a gift isn’t complete without adding in a special note for your friend or loved one to know how much you care.  As you check out of your cart, you will find a designated field to write a gift message.  We are limited on space, so please keep your note under 150 characters.
